The Barunga and Beswick women have been very busy over the past few weeks. Not only have they been out on country but they have been tending to their beautiful gardens, planting fresh herbs and creating produce garden beds. Whilst also honing their artistic skills with crafts and upholstery. The Barunga supervisor, Anna, made an absolutely stunning pillow that is a true testament to her creativity and talent.
But it doesn’t stop there, these ladies are also making a positive impact in their local community. Recently, they joined forces with Sunrise Health, a health care service that delivers programs for and by Aboriginal people and together, they are working to address local problems through sustainable, place-based solutions.
We are so proud of the Barunga and Beswick women for their hard work and dedication to making their community a better place. They are true role models and an inspiration to us all. Thank you, Sunrise Health, for attending and all involved in the organisation of this fantastic day.
