What a weekend the dedicated Nyirrunggulung Rise team had at Barunga Festival.
The weekend was filled with music, sport and culture as we joined together to celebrate Indigenous community life.
At the festival the Nyirrunggulang Rise team set up alongside our Jawoyn Partners as they ran a Sausage Sizzle for visitors.
The team also sold artwork and wooden trucks made by our job seekers.
These were a great hit with the visitors and all the proceeds will be put back into the Barunga Community.
The place was sparkling thanks to our Barunga CDP team who worked alongside Roper Gulf Council the weeks prior getting the community in tip top shape.
From mowed grass, collecting firewood and general tidy ups, the team worked hard to make Barunga Festival 2022 a success.
