Barunga Bike Track

Work has began on the Barunga Bike Track at the Community Creche. The bike track will help teach the children road safety as well as have fun at the same time.

The team were able to put the skills that they have learnt from the recent Certificate 11 in Construction training. The Certificate 11 in Construction Course with Batchelor Institute was a combined team effort between Beswick and Barunga. The skills learnt may lead to work at the Tindal RAAF Base who are looking for workers at present.

The fellas started with a job site inspection, putting up safety fencing to keep kids out of harms way.
There was also a pre check on KANGA Digger before making a start on the preparation work for concrete.

Everyone was excited to get things going and this will be a large project but the team work and dedication shown by the fellas from Beswick and Barunga, shows that the job will get done.

Thanks to Luke Barclay from Batchelor Institute and our fantastic work crew for all your efforts. We cannot wait to see the bike track come together.
