We had the first can count up at Manyallaluk Community School and it was not a bad total, the children raised, $59.70.
The students were keen to see how many they had all counted and bagged with totals written on each bag, ready in no time at all.
The plan is to use the money to reward the students for good work and consistent attendance.
Nyirrunggulung-RISE staff also donated what recyclables we had at our office.
We hope this project keeps going and the school benefits from the revenue. Thanks to all that were involved in this project.
