Beswick and Barunga Teams successfully complete a Traffic Management Course

The Nyirrunggulung-RISE Beswick and Barunga teams have recently completed a Traffic Management Course in Barunga.

Everyone did a great job and enjoyed the training! 

Thanks to the Bachelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education who ran the training for us.

Here are some of the things they learnt:  

✔️ Creating a safe workplace 

✔️ Identifying hazards 

✔️ Using proper signage 

✔️ Using UHF radios and official channels 

✔️ Maintaining traffic flow in a safe and controlled manner 

✔️ Teamwork and onsite communication 

✔️ Working in heat and extreme conditions

These guys now have the skills to work in Traffic Management and have opened up more employment opportunities for themselves.
