Manyallaluk Aspirants Grow Plant Cuttings For Community Gardens

Our Manyallaluk team have been collecting and growing plant cuttings for their neighbours’ gardens.

In Manyallaluk, we established a shade shed to grow seedlings and encourage locals to grow food in their own gardens. The fullas have taken a break from that to head out bush and collect plant cuttings.

These cuttings have now been planted in pots and troughs to be nurtured. Once they grow larger, they’ll be given out to the community to brighten their home gardens.

We even had the local kids join in the cutting and planting! Great to give them a fun and educational activity to do over the school holidays. We hope it ignites their passion to grow their own plants and food too!
